Plate of raw horse organs!

Yes, that is an intestine!

Stake President and family.

The Seong Pa house.

Hey everyone!

How is it going back in America? It's been a while since I've had enough time to write a long email! So I hope your ready for it!!! I'll start with the highlights of the week! An investigator that I taught in my last area got baptized on saturday!! He is the one that had a really big problem with smoking, but now he has completely quit! The power of the atonement is seriously so amazing. I haven't seen him but everyone I've talked to about him said his countenance has completely changed. The power this gospel has to make changes in peoples lives is so incredible. I've gained such a strong testimony that it truly can change anyone that will have the faith to let Christ into their lives! Speaking of miracles, we found a new investigator this past saturday! and, he wants to quit smoking and drinking so bad. When we met him we were both just like "hmm I think we can help you with that" then we both bore our testimony of how the gospel has changed us, and how it will change him too! it was sweet!! hmm, I got my birthday package from my mom! and it was the best package ever! Thanks for the fudge and nuts Grandma! I'll keep your tupperware safe don't worry :) it all got eaten in one day! Everyone that lives in the house is always so excited whenever I get a package that has something from you in it! Ha nothing lasts long! so thanks :) I love you!! I went on splits twice this week! once in Suji with Elder Brid, and once in my area Seongpa with Elder Noe. It was fun! It was the first time I had left the area since I've been here, it was a really interesting day!! On thursday we had a specialized training meeting for all the leaders in the mission, it was really good! we got trained on how to use the scriptures more effectively. I feel like I use them pretty good though! :) Also, we met are investigator Ju Hwan this week, He is so prepared to accept the gospel it's unbelievable! haha we asked him if he had been reading the Book of Mormon and he apoligized to us, then said "I'm so sorry, I've only been reading for 10-15 minutes everyday" ha we were both like what? your sorry?? that's awesome!!! he said "no it's not, I have to read this book about 100 times so when I go to America on a mission I know right where to turn in it to teach people" haha that put a huge smile on my face then I looked over at Elder Poulsen and he was just laughing, he couldn't believe it! it was soo amazing!!! on the week we found 3 new investigators and were meeting two more today!! so the work is going pretty good in our area! We're seeing a lot of miracles!!!! yesterday we had stake priesthood meeting, that is with the stake president and the mission president counselor, we had to go to Suji which is about 1 1/2 hours from our area! We got there and the stake president told us to get in his car and he took us to his house!! ha the best part about it was that right before we got there he said elders, do you know that we are in the Dajeon mission right now? haha we didn't know, and were not aloud to leave our mission without permission!! so we broke the mission rules with our stake president and presidents Lee's first counselor hahaha.. but we had a really fun night it was a good experience! and we only do that meeting every other month, so it was my last one of those! crazy. But it was a good one to go out on! Ha so also this week, on wednesday, we went out to eat dinner. and you would never guess what we ate!! HORSE. Yes I ate horse! It was pretty good actually, I would eat it again! but, this is where the story gets good! we were about halfway done and the waitress brought out a plate full of food, we asked her what it was, she said its RAW BRAIN LIVER KIDNEY AND INTESTINE ha so we all ate it!!! that was the first time I have ever eaten a brain that is for sure haha it was a fun experience! I love you all Thank you so much for your support and making it possible for me to serve the Lord! We are so lucky to have this perfect gospel in our lives. I love it so much!

Love,
Elder Frei

How is it going? We have had a good week. It is friday in Song Pa, Seoul, South Korea. I don't know where all the days are going. It is crazy! It is scary to be honest because I am starting to get down there a little bit. I am just keep thinking wow it is almost may 10th.

On monday we played basketball. It was fun? I was still sick. So I really didn't get to play. We got back and we met our investigator named Ju Won. We taught him the word of wisdom. He really seemed to like it. He was like ok I will quit drinking coffee. He said that it would be hard but that he would try. He is just a really prepared person. He also told us that when he was praying he was praying about where he should get baptized. He feels like he should get baptized in Salt Lake. At the temple is what he said. We explained that he couldn't get baptized inside the temple and he was just like oh then anywhere. He said that any church in Salt Lake would be fine. He knows that I am from Utah and Elder Paulson is not and he said I will pay for your plane ticket so that you guys can both come. So he wants to get baptized next year in Salt Lake.

On tuesday we had zone leader council. It went really good. We discussed the needs of the mission. We just all told what we thought could help the mission. We had a good discussion about it and the President Lee got up and talked to us and answered all our questions perfectly. President Lee always has perfect answers. I love when he talks. It just makes me realize that he knows what he is doing and that he is called of God.

After that we met a new investigator that we found when we were playing basketball a couple of weeks ago. It went really good.

On wednesday we had combined district meeting down in Boon Dong with everyone in the zone. We all went to lunch together to a Korean food buffet. They had a lot of fish so I ate a ton of fish. We had english class that night. It went really good.

On thursday we met a policeman. He took us around in his cop car. He took us to the police station and we talked to him and some other girl also. She was so baffled over foreigners. She wants to come to english class. So it was pretty interesting to be taken around in a police car. The cops in Seoul drive around with their lights on all the time. No matter where they go the lights are always on it is pretty funny.

Yesterday was planning meeting. I was still feeling really sick. I am feeling a lot better today. I finally got some medicine. I realized that the medicine is actually starting to work. The lady at the pharmacy told me to take twice as much as it said. I have never done that with Korean medicine before. But I realized that I am twice the size of every Korean so that would make perfect sense. So it is kinda working now.

Today we went and met Yu Gin Son. He is the recent convert. We read with him. He read the magic tree house in Korean and we translated it into english for him because he wants to practice. We have english class in a little bit. And then we have three lessons after english class. It is a really busy night. It has been a good week so far.

Today is saturday. We taught our investigator Ju Won. We taught him follow the prophet. We told him about conference and he was super excited for it. He said he would be there for sure and he committed to follow Thomas S. Monson. He is really awesome and really prepared.

I told you I have been spending a lot of money on medicine lately but for the first time on my mission Korean medicine is actually helping. All the other times when I have had to buy something I felt like it didn't do anything. But now it is actually helping me get over this cold. Tomorrow is sunday. I am excited. I love sundays. Our new convert  Nam Gun Son, we met with him tonight and found out he has to go to Malaysia in two weeks for a whole semester of school. That is a big bummer! He won't be back by the time I leave Korea so I wont get to see him.

Yesterday was sunday. We had a pretty good day. Our recent convert came to church and he was interviewed to get the priesthood. So he will be getting that next week. He is the one that is going to Malaysia for a semester of school. When he gets back to Korea I will be in America. So I promised him I would play fifo online because he loves soccer. And so we are going to play online so that we can chat and stay in touch. I am just really excited that he is getting the priesthood. Last night right before bed Elder Reyes called me and told me about an investigator that we found and taught together in Yeong Dong Po is getting baptized. The story is just so crazy. He has just completely changed his life. I wrote about it in my journal so I will just read it to you, "Elder Reyes called me last night and told me about an investigator that we taught together is going to be baptized. His name in english is Paul. I never thought that he would get baptized. He was a total chain smoker. Sometime the power of Christ's atonement blows me away. Seriously I thought he was lying to me when he told me that the baptism was going to happen. I am so happy for him. Elder Reyes told me that I would not even recognize him. I love the gospel and the power it has to change peoples lives. I love it. It  gives me the opportunity to step back and see what the changes the  atonement has made in my life the past two years.  2 Nephi 2:25 Men are that they might have joy." It is so amazing to step back and see the Savior's hand in the work. Whenever stuff like this happens it really makes me reflect back on the changes the Savior has made in my life. I am just really grateful to be a part of this work. Some of the stuff that happens is just so amazing. I hope that you all had a good week.

 I love you all!
